Why We Offer More Than Just Invisalign
Plenty of practices carry a single aligner brand and fit every case to it. We work with several: Invisalign, Spark, Angel Aligners, Clearpath and Aalto. The systems differ in how their attachments are designed and how they handle particular tooth movements, so a case that is awkward for one can be straightforward for another.
Having a choice means the recommendation comes out of your scan rather than out of what we happen to stock. We will tell you which system we are recommending and why.
Invisalign Across North Queensland
Invisalign and other clear aligner systems are available at Ingham, Innisfail, Bohle Plains, Townsville (Kirwan), Bowen and Emerald.
Aligners suit this part of the state particularly well. A patient in Emerald or Bowen changing trays at home every fortnight is not making the drive that fixed braces would demand for a wire adjustment. At Bowen, Dr Tsering Gurung provides conventional orthodontic braces as well as clear aligners. If an assessment shows aligners are not the right tool for your case, that conversation and the alternative can happen at the same clinic.

How Treatment Runs
We start with an examination and a scan, and plan the movement before anything is ordered. You wear each set of aligners for around two weeks and roughly 22 hours a day, taking them out to eat, to drink anything other than water, and to brush and floss. The result depends far more on wearing them consistently than on which brand is printed on the box.
Expect a slight lisp for the first two or three weeks while your tongue adjusts, and some tightness for a day or so after each new set. Both are normal and both settle.
Cost & Payment
The fee is set by how many aligners your case needs, which is a direct proxy for how much movement is involved. That means a short case is genuinely cheaper rather than everyone paying one blended price. We confirm your exact figure in writing once your treatment is planned, and you have it before you commit to anything.

Cover varies a lot between funds, and most apply both an annual limit and a lifetime orthodontic limit, so a rebate usually arrives across more than one calendar year. Bring your fund details to the consultation and we will work out what your cover contributes. We claim through HICAPS at the desk where the policy allows it.
You do not have to travel. Invisalign and other clear aligner systems are available at all six clinics, including Emerald and Bowen. Aligner treatment also suits regional patients well, because you are swapping trays at home rather than coming in for a wire adjustment every few weeks.
