A family dental group that grew, one town at a time, from a single practice in Ingham to six clinics across regional North Queensland.
From one Ingham practice to six North QLD towns
After working as a dentist across regional Queensland for many years, Dr Navdeep Singh saw a real need for more, and better-quality, dental services in our regional and rural communities.
With that goal in mind, Dr Singh opened My Family Dental Qld in 2013: just a single private practice in the cane-farming community of Ingham, North Queensland.
The response from the community was wonderful, and that encouragement led to more clinics opening across the region. Today we proudly operate six dental clinics across Ingham, Innisfail, Townsville (Bohle Plains and Kirwan), Bowen and Emerald.
Our teams are locals who live in and support their communities, and take pride in providing quality dental care for the whole family across regional Queensland.

The practice was founded in 2013 by Dr Navdeep Singh in Ingham and has since grown to six clinics across North and Central Queensland. Several of those clinics were established local practices before joining the group, so the individual chairs have served their towns considerably longer than the group itself has existed.
No. It is a family-owned Australian dental group, run by dentists rather than by an investment company. The practical difference patients tend to notice is continuity: you generally see the same dentist over time, and treatment decisions are made in the surgery rather than dictated by a head office.
Yes. Every dentist at My Family Dental is registered with the Dental Board of Australia through AHPRA, which you can verify yourself on the public AHPRA register. Our team includes general dentists and a registered specialist periodontist. You can read their backgrounds on our dentists page.
Yes, that is the point of the name. Our clinics see patients from a child's first visit at around 12 months through to older patients managing dentures, implants and long-standing restorations. In towns like Ingham and Bowen we frequently see three generations of the same family.
